The Museum of Mining and Metal, located in the building of the former Ministry of Education, has an important collection on mining and metallurgy.

In virtual environments, visitors can interact with the spaces created to allow intense experience in the world of metals. The building was completely restored and with an appropriate structure. The space has entered the collections of the Museum of Mineralogy Djalma Guimarães and has sponsored the EBX Group.
The building, based on the same date as the capital of Minas Gerais in 1897, has restored environments with wall paintings and columns of the season and new contemporary environments were added harmonizing the different styles and ensuring universal accessibility.


Outside the museum there is the Praça da Liberdade, a beautiful park full of trees and plants with healthy people doing exercise all day.
